"Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?" My interests are pretty eclectic, as you can see; my diary may make more sense taken chronologically from the first entry (early June, 2001).

To paraphrase from the (better) introduction in my first post, this journal is both a place for me to get stuff off my chest - to vent - and a venue to practice my writing skills through mini-essays on opinions and current events.

I'm an opinionated sort of gal, and some folks think I'm entertaining. I do know that I do better if I can get certain thoughts and ramblings down in black and white and look at them later (I always forget what I figured out, if I don't). This diary is, ultimately, for me, not for y'all. But I don't mind if you read it. It's personal, and bit surreal in spots, but I wouldn't be doing it in public if I weren't a bit of an exhibitionist - and you wouldn't be reading this if you weren't a little bit of a voyeur. :-> Drop me a comment if I say something that resonates with you, or makes you think - or makes you mad! I always know I've succeeded in being truly frank when it sparks emotions in others.

Don't be offended that I didn't list a website, or a non-lj email. This isn't precisely an anonymous diary (since if you already know me RL, you'll recognize me pretty damn fast from what's in here), but I would like to make sure that people looking for my Real Name don't turn up here randomly. Y'know, boss, insane uncle, stalker-of-choice ...
